Do you use Digital Rights Management (DRM) to protect your music?
Q: Do you utilize any protection on your digital downloads?
Q: Do you enforce digital rights management (DRM) on your music?
Q: Do you use any software to enforce rules, or limit use of the music?
A: No. While we do want to protect our products, we feel this is a waste of money and resources in today's technical-orientated environment.
We'd rather give that money to our Artists so we can have even more music to enjoy!
For example, Apple spends a fortune every year maintaining their iTunes protection schema that can prevent people from making backups and CDs of their music. After every DRM update they make, hackers break it and release the information to the public. Apple is forced to yet again plan its next move. Rather than copy this silly cat-and-mouse game, we decided to sell unprotected, unrestricted mp3s.
As long as you do not break the terms and conditions of use, you can have as many copies on as many computers, mp3 players, or CDs as you like.
We believe our rules to be 'common sense'. Essentially, you're not permitted to share the music files or make CD copies for friends, family, reletives, strangers... anybody!
If somebody hears your music and likes it, pass along our website so they can buy a copy for themselves. Why? because we PAY our Artists! If you become a member, we ALSO pay YOU!
If you give the music away, you're not only robbing the artist, but you're robbing yourself!
Do the right thing. Help us keep the music alive.
