Why do I see two copies of albums in the order system?

PDF Print E-mail

Q: Why do I see two copies of albums in the order system?

A: There are two ways to purchase music:

Physical albums, and digital albums.

If you check the item code, you will find that products that end with -D, are digital albums. Item codes that do not have -D at the end are physical albums.

As a general rule, physical albums cost an additional $2.50, plus shipping and handling charges.

Physical album benefits:
You get a hard copy that you can take and play in most electronic media players. Most products contain the compact disc (CD), the industry-standard jewelcase, and any printed material that the artist has provided to be included.

The drawbacks to physical discs is you have to pay shipping and handling, as well as wait for the shipment to arrive. If you want to play the albums in an mp3 player, you have to go through the trouble of converting the song yourself. We do not provide any support for that.

Digital album benefits:

They come as standardized MP3 music files compressed together in a single .zip file. These can be played in most digital media players, and also many electronic media players. The .zip files contain all the tracks, as well as a .pdf file containing all the printed material that the artist has provided to be included. The benefits to mp3 is you get the music right away! One quick download and you have it all there. Also with mp3s, you can have the best of both worlds! You can also take the material, print it, and burn your own music disc to play in your electronic media players. We can provide instructions and offer minimal support for that.
